Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only of you want to use it separately, and not near your phone, most carriers will make you pay to activate it with them. Otherwise, it's connected by bluetooth, and can't go too far before it disconnects. Still quite a ways though. As for subscriptions, it's no different than apps on your phone.

The only ones that would not be free, are the ones you already have to pay for on your phone. There's only one app I looked at to buy, and it was gboard for the watch. I haven't decided to get it yet.
