Make sure the same app for the email is installed on the phone and on watch . Check Google play before downloading that it clearly shows the app for the email you are using is compatible for both the phone and the watch . (Usually it will show you right below the main title of the specific download i.e, hotmail etc.... If that isn't the issue make sure the notification on watch are on but also on to where notifications will still be delivered while phone IS IN USE* .
