Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The remote sensing range is limited by Bluetooth, I believe, so about 30 feet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on terrain and your home construction. The watch does vibrate when you are out of Bluetooth range. It shows what I first thought was a low battery signal, until I realized it was out of range for the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have found that although it prefers to connect via Bluetooth, it will also use any known wireless networks. Meaning, if you have connected to a wireless network using a Samsung phone the Fit2 will use that information to connect to those networks also. It seems to do this when either Bluetooth is off or you are out of range. I have not found the settings to make it do this all the time. So, to answer your question, I have received messages from across my house connected via wireless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It connects via Bluetooth to my phone, and so only has the range of Bluetooth (so not super far ... I can leave it in the kitchen and still get notifications while watching TV in the living room). Once you go out of range, it does notify you that it has lost connection with the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The distance that it will work from the phone is dependent on the Bluetooth connectivity, which depends on how many obstacles are in the way. In a completely open environment, I believe it can go up to 30 or 40 meters. In a house that will be much less, because of the walls. In my house I can stay connected if I leave my phone downstairs and on the opposite end of the house, roughly 10 meters away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have noticed that the range on bluetooth is closer to 50-60 meters.
