I would say no off the bat. The chest HR monitor needs to connect to something via bluetooth, your phone or your watch. The phone needs to be nearby. The watch does need to be nearby since it has its own HR monitor. I doubt if the watch will act as a bluetooth pass thru for your chest mounted HR monitor. To be sure though, You need to check with the manufacturer of the chest mounted HR monitor to see what connectivity options out there are available to you.
