You can not make calls with this watch. you can dial and answer but you will need the phone to talk. I added one that will make calls to this answer but it requires a monthly phone plane addition.

It depends if you get this watch from a store like T-Mobile then yes it's like a stand alone phone but if you get the watch from best buy you can make a call but you will still need to use your phone to talk

If its not on your cell phone plan then no, but it will buzz you to let you know that you have a call.

You can initiate the call, but you must use your phone to talk. I think this is really handy when I am driving, bc I can initiate the call and I just start talking since I use bluetooth in my car

Yes, the phone has the ability to make or receive calls, but you'll need the phone itself, or a headset/Bluetooth connection to actually speak or hear the call.

If you buy the 3G compatible watch with its own cellular data plan, it has an integrated speaker. As I have the bluetooth/wifi-only version, I'm not sure if you would still need a headset for that particular model.

You can make a call using your Gear S2 and it will initiate the call to the phone.
