they connect to phone with wifi and bluetooth. i am unaware of a lte version of this device. i wanted the same thing when i went in to best buy and they told me the gear s3 dose not come with lte. you have to connect it to a phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the frontier s3 has late, but there are only a few carriers it's compatible with, Verizon is not one of them, they only support the gear s2. The only time you have to carry your phone with you is if you purchase the Bluetooth connect version. I have the s3 classic Bluetooth version myself and it's no big deal keeping the phone on me, the watch has certainly kept me from dropping my phone drastically when answering calls or replying to text messages. I really like this smartwatch.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The gear S3 comes in 2 flavors. The classic and the frontier. The Frontier has the LTE built in and functions completely without the phone. The version without LTE will require the phone in order to receive calls and txt messages.
