• It has both voice text and QWERTY keyboard. Whichever you prefer. Since it is so small, the voice is probably easier, but it does have both.

• The keyboard on the Gear S3 is really a T9 style keyboard, but there's a full QWERTY keyboard 3rd party option available that gets solid reviews if you're into that.
