Hi Denny! The HW-A450 features a digital optical audio connection as well as Bluetooth audio. Check the back of your TV or user manual if needed to determine if one of these two connections are supported. The HW-A450 includes the digital optical audio cable in the box eliminating the need for an additional purchase. ^Tim

As far as the hookup, it was very simple. If your television has blue-tooth compatibility, there shouldn't be a problem. If it does, enable the blue-tooth access under "Audio Preferences" on your television, turn on the blue-tooth button on the soundbar and the television will find it and connect it...
