A:AnswerHello LisaOC,
The HW-B650 Soundbar will be able to connect using HDMI, but you will need to use the remote from your soundbar instead of only using the TV remote to control both.

A:AnswerHi paulibob,
The HW-B650 Soundbar would be a good choice to go in to a store and hear. It has a dedicated center channel where all of the dialogue comes without any other sounds from shows or movies.
This will give you the benefit of being able to hear voices much clearer than with just a TV by itself. You are also able to increase the volume levels of the center channel.

A:AnswerHi DanC,
The HW-B650 Soundbar be controlled using other remotes, but this function can be used with IR remote controls only. Bluetooth remote controls (remote controls that require pairing) are not supported. Set the TV speaker to External Speaker to use this function.
1) Turn Off the Soundbar.
2) Push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “Samsung-TV Remote” (Default mode), “Off-TV Remote”, “All-TV Remote”. The LED indicator status changes each time the mode is changed.
Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG.

A:AnswerHi Tomas,
The HW-B650 Soundbar has three ways that it connects to another device or TV. You will use either a HDMI cable, Digital Optical Cable or Bluetooth connection. If your receiver has one of these three connections then you will be able to connect them.

A:AnswerHi Kturbert51. No, the B Series soundbars do not offer Alexa built-in. However, there are several Samsung Q & S Series Soundbars that have Alexa built-in. Check them out at Best Buy:

A:AnswerHi Gunner63,
The HW-B650 Soundbar is roughly 7lbs, you can purchase a Soundbar mount that will attach to the bottom two mounting holes of your TV. Which ever mount you do find, make sure that it will hold more than the Soundbar weighs.

A:AnswerHello, I own Samsung HW-B650 and Q800B for my TV surround sound in 2 different rooms. I also own Bose Smart Speaker 500 and Bose Revolve speakers and never been able to connect them as satellite speakers to Samsung surround. My Bose is used mainly for portability. When I connect to my TV via Bluetooth or HDMI ARC it only allows one output source. I never tried and I do not think its possible to connect them together via Bluetooth or to each other. Samsung connections is only HDMI, HDMI ARC, Optical, and Bluetooth, no AUX or Headphone input. Bose portable speakers only has AUX and Bluetooth connections. Ironically my guess room has a Bose TV smart 300 series speaker (sound bar only) it has all connections type however I never tried to connect Bose portable as a satellite speaker. Sorry for long reply but hope it help some. The samsung sound bar is a steal at $219 price if still on sell versus $399
A:AnswerHi Billyp23,
The distance between the two mounting holes is roughly 24.25 inches. When you are mounting this soundbar it will come with a paper template which will assist with mounting the fixed position brackets.

A:AnswerDanielG,
Before performing the manual connection procedure, check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly and make sure that the Soundbar is turned off.
Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds. The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds. The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.

A:AnswerHello Ashland,
The HW-B650 is a great 3.1 channel soundbar but you will be losing some features that you would have by purchasing one of the Q-Series Soundbars. You will not have access to Q-Symphony, Dolby Atmos and eARC just to name a few.
