• Hi There, Sometimes there are new firmware updates after the product has been manufactured but before you take it home form a store or have it shipped to you. ^Andrew

• Unless you are having issues with your soundbar an update is probably not necessary. Instructions are on Samsung's website. It's been this way for years. If you purchase a higher end Samsung soundbar that has a wi-fi connection a firmware update can be completed via their Smart Things app. This soundbar has no wi-fi option.
