• The tv should stay off. Really depends on the tv but the soundbar won’t turn it on.

• Hi VoiceOfUnreason! The HW-Q900A features built in Airlplay technology, separate from the TV. If the TV is turned off, you can still utilize the Airplay connection to the soundbar without the TV powering itself on. ^Tim
