Best Dolby Atmos Soundbar! Outstanding Sound!
Posted .Samsung HW-Q950A is a flagship 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundbar came with a Soundbar, Wireless Subwoofer, and a pair of Up-firing wireless rear speakers. This soundbar has a lot of built-in features like the Auto EQ feature, and AirPlay 2, eARC, Samsung's Q Symphony support, and Tap Sound features, built-in Amazon Alexa. Build quality is excellent with a stylish look and it matches my cabinet color. I have purchased the speaker stands for rear speakers as well. The Samsung HW-Q950A has two HDMI inputs and an HDMI output which supports 4K/60p, High Dynamic Range (HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision), HDCP 2.2, and Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), HDMI output includes eARC and optical digital input. It supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay 2, allowing to stream music from the home network. Bluetooth pairing can be done with remote, AirPlay via your Apple device, and Wi-Fi using the SmartThings app. Setup is relatively easy and connected the soundbar, soundbar, and rear speakers with power and connected Samsung TV with eARC / ARC from Soundbar. I have installed the Samsung SmartThings app on iPhone. I have added the soundbar and updated it to the latest firmware. With the SmartThings app, it is easy to switch HDMI inputs, adjust volume, Sound mode, Equalizer, adjust woofer settings, Auto EQ, and Advanced Sound Settings to do Voice / Base enhancements, Night mode. The Samsung HW-Q950A immediately impresses with an incredibly immersive soundstage. We have watched several movies and shows from Netflix and 4K movies with Dolby Atmos. We were blown away by the sound and felt like sitting in the theater. Even in a low sound setting, the dialogues were very clear. We have listened to music it was way better and with no audio cables. Thanks to wireless rear speakers and wireless woofer. It is one of the best soundbars on the market and delivers an immersive theater sound experience. *I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Superior sound that will literally blow you away
Posted .Being an audiophile with a history of surround sound setups for many many years, I was intrigued by this soundbar to compliment the living room. Out of the box, the soundbar has a sleek, clean look, and tucks under the legs of the TV for a seamless and unobtrusive look on the entertainment center. The cord design with the raised plug area allows you to hide the cords behind the TV and the speaker as to not create the eyesore that past surround sound systems suffered. The cord for the subwoofer was sufficiently long that it could be placed in an ideal location. This system has 20 individual speakers with 14 discrete audio channels in it. With that number of speakers in my old system it would have filled my living room with speakers and cables. This system is discreate and wireless, which I was looking forward too compared to what I had. I was expecting a huge increase in the quality of spatial audio as compared to my older 5.1 surround system and it surely did not disappoint. The big difference is no wire mess and having to run speaker cable around the room. I learned that in a living room with high ceilings like mine the spatial audio delivered by the soundbar was very well defined. This system had great audio quality and filled the room with sound and with good audio imaging it was convincing that you were in the action and it is coming from specific locations around and above you. I am definitely looking to add to the optional rear speakers though to add to the immersion! Overall the soundbar was a breeze to setup and configure, especially if you have other Samsung products The built in Alexa was easy to setup and works very well which was a huge bonus for me. The Samsung Bar exceeded any of my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion

- A:Answer It did not come with rear speakers. I don’t think there is a way to connect additional speakers. It does simulate surround sound, however. It does sound like effects are coming from behind you while watching action movies.

Q: QuestionI know the soundbar display Dolby Atmos when it detects the signal from TV Input eArc. But for some reason sometimes the soundbar doesn't display Dolby Atmos when you play a Dolby Atmos movie. Can someone officially from Samsung answer this question?
