Yep, ARC will work just fine for true surround sound including ATMOS!

Hi! Yes, you will still be able to experience immersive audio, even Dolby Atmos, through standard HDMI ARC. ^Tim

Get a blue ray DVD player that has atmos, plug it into the sound bar and you will achieve the sound you want. Arc is fine.
