The soundbar itself IS a receiver. It takes IN sound to play over it’s speakers. You mean hook up your record player to play on the soundbar?

 I CAN SAY MY TV SYSTEM HAS "NOT" WORKED SINCE IT WAS INSTALLED
NOT SURE IF IT WAS THE INSTALLATION AND OR THE HW-Q950A SYSTEM  AND IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE  GETTING
BESTBUY GEEK SQUAD TO FIX OR REPLACE GOING ON 3 WEEKS.  GOOD LUCK

Hi JCMSr01! The HW-Q950A features a digital optical audio input, HDMI inputs, and the ability to receive a Bluetooth wireless audio signal. If the device you are trying to connect to can output via one of the previously listed connections, you should have no issues connecting it to the soundbar.
