I am of the understanding that Atmos info is in the signal all the way to the soundbar and will be decoded there. I have the same situation. However, if you wished to be doubly sure contact Samsung through their website< I'm sure they will respond quickly.

The QN85 Neo QLED TV from Samsung supports eARC technology allowing you to pass uncompressed Dolby Atmos signals to compatible external audio devices. When paired with the HW-Q950A soundbar, you will experience no issues hearing all of the immersive surround sound provided by Dolby Atmos. External devices can be connected direct to the TV. All audio from the TV will pass through the HDMI connection to the soundbar improving your audio experience. ^Tim
