Daniel, the screen is not matte but compared to other touchscreen systems the glare is not terrible. Any kind of direct light, as with most touchscreens, will cause glare but this is mitigated on the Notebook 9 Pro by having an easily accessed "Outdoor" mode. The outdoor mode will decrease battery life substantially as it combats the sunlight and glare with a much higher brightness level!

There is an anti-glare tint to the glass, but it is reflective - Samsung counters this uniquely by offering an extra-bright and vivid "outdoor mode" - So for a glossy touchscreen you'll be better off with this one than others, but it's not an anti-glare screen. Almost NO touchscreen laptops are!
