• Needs a single washer type hose and a wye from your cold water source.

• Yes. You need a dryer vent kit. I let Best Buy tell me which one, ordered it, and had it delivered and installed with the dryer. The dryer works great, but to be completely honest, we haven't tried the steam yet.
