The black flap is hideous. I have no idea why it's there. Ours just hangs there. We tried tucking it back but it doesn't stay in place (as you've indicated). It's so ugly and seems so unnecessary. This dishwasher was such a bad purchase for so many reason! I wish the black flap was the biggest problem. It doesn't wash well at all.

Please try again later.I had to have them come back twice to fix this - the first time they tucked it back behind the kick plate but it came back out after a few days - so I researched it online and found the ONLY solution is to remove the kick plate, tape it back up with GORILLA TAPE, and then put kick plate back. I bought myself a roll of Gorilla Tape and had the repair guys do this when they came back out two weeks ago.... so far, so good! Looks great now (knock on wood!)
