• It does not work by itself. You need the Smartthings ADT hub to make it work.

• It will only pair to the ADT SmartThings Hub, so if you dont have this hub already it would be useless. If you do have the hub you could setup a custom monitoring option to have it trigger a door chime, send a notification to your phone etc, without including it as a monitored sensor that would set off an alarm
