The sub pairs to the dongle. Make sure your sub has a usb type c input for the dongle. I have 3 sound bars and have two of these subs connected to 2 Soundbars (ms750 and ms650) both have rear speakers connected via dongle as well. One dongle connection for both rear speakers and sub. My bedroom soundbar (m550) does not have a usb type c input so I cannot connect the dongle. I think those subs are for the “sound plus” model soundbars.

The SWA-W700 subwoofer is only designed to connect to compatible Sound+ soundbars with the following model numbers: HW-MS550, HW-MS650, HW-MS6500, HW-MS750, HW-NW700. The subwoofer will not connect to any other soundbars or wireless receivers. Please contact your local Best Buy regarding Geek Squad protection coverage. ^Tim
