A:AnswerIt heats up when drying, then 3-5 minutes at the end, the door pops open to let steam escape. At that point, the fan kicks on to help complete the drying process. (Or maybe it's already on? Hard to tell, it's so quiet.) We don't have issues with spotting, even with hard water. We use Lemi Shine to aid in the rinse, so that also helps.
