Yes, this player connects to the internet via Ethernet or Wifi. And it has several streaming apps, per BestBuy website Netflix, Hulu and YouTube. Your older TV needs a free HDMI input to connect to this player. Just a comment: you say you have an older TV so I assume it is not 4k - why are you then looking into this 4k player? Regular Blueray players are much cheaper and you will not notice the difference picture wise. r
