Most TV's today have 2 or more HDMI "jacks" on the rear of the TV. Exp HDMI 1 & HDMI 2. Your cable box should be connected to jack HDMI 1. The DVD player should be connected to HDMI 2. Once you turn your TV on & go to the DVD selection and press enter, it'll automatically power on the DVD player as they do communicate with one another via the HDMI cable. For audio surround sound receivers w/ optical cable connections, you only need to connect the optical cable from the receiver to the TV's optical connection to receive true digital surround sound. The HDMI connections from the TV to the DVD player does the rest. This way if you want to watch a DVD movie, you can have the cable box turned OFF & still use your audio receiver to get true surround sound audio. The TV recognizes the optical cables & interfaces the components. If the receiver is not on, then the connections are made thru the HDMI connections and are true digital video & sound. NOTE: Make sure your TV is selected to the HDMI format to the correct components. .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it connects to the TV via HDMI cable separate from the Cable box, i.e. they both connect to the TV using HDMI so you need more than one HDMI input on your TV. I have played all types of DVDs, i.e. standard, Blue-ray and Ultra 4K HD and the picture quality is great but is best with the Ultra HD discs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The player connects to the TV with an HDMI cable. Make sure you have a 4K (aka UHD) television. Most TVs have 3 or more HDMI inputs, but they might not all have the same capabilities. For example, your HDMI 1 input may be the one that supports 4K + HDR (see below), so you may need to move your cable box cable to another HDMI input. There's probably a label next to each port on the TV. If not, check your TV's documentation. About the cable: You can probably use any HDMI cable as long as its high-speed, but you need an HDMI 2.0a for "HDR" to work. This player supports HDR, which is an add-on to 4k -- it's not necessary but it improves the video quality. Not all 4K movies have an HDR signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Does it come with a 4K HDMI cable
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This connects to your tv with an hdmi cable. This unit will play 4k uhd discs, 3d blu ray, blu ray, dvd, and cd's
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It connects to your tv with a hdmi cable. If you have cable tv you will just leave that plugged into whatever input it's already plugged into. Plays all dvds
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This player connects directly to the TV. Generally there is more than one HDMI port but in the case there isn't, the cable box will usually have a pass through. The player connects to the cable box and the cable box connects to the TV. There are no other discs that the player cannot play.
