“Hi. I just bought the Samsung UBD M8500 from Best Buy and want to use it as a CD Player in my stereo system. I want to connect it to my audio receiver which has RCA connectors in for the CD player. How can I do this? Connecting via LAN failed.”

Try using the optical audio out. Then instead of hooking it to the CD or dvd hook it to the optical audio in on the receiver. This may be for the satellite or TV connection.
