You have paid extra for the 4K Blu-Ray player and you paid extra for the 4K TV to both give you the absolute best 4K picture available. My recomendation is to not take that 4K picture that you paid extra for to get and turn it into a lower quality image just to have it fit your entire TV screen. Full screen merely stretches the image to fit the entire TV. It is always best to view the picture in the format it was taken. Most movies are filmed in the widescreen format. Some are filmed with the IMAX cameras giving you more of the screen for viewing. For example, the movie The Dark Knight, you will notice the size of the viewing screen on the TV constantly changes throughout the movie. As it changes from scenes shot in widescreen versus scenes shot in IMAX. This was the intended way to view the movie. If you want to view movies in fullscreen, you might have wasted your money on the 4K TV and 4K Blu-Ray player.
