“I have a Maytag dryer that came with a permanent riser roughly 2.5”-3” I bought a pedestal for it. But according the the pedestal installation directions I need to screw in 2 metal screws but there is no where for them to go.Can I just sit it on pedestal”

First, you need the pedestal that goes with your dryer. Then, you need them attached so when the dryer is on it doesn't separate from the pedestal and possibly fall to the floor.
