• Hi 638ready! The primary function of the pedestal is to raise the height of the front load washers to make it easier to reach inside, but it does offer the added bonus of storage space as well. The pedestal does not have any motorized parts or functions. ^Jecca

• No, you cannot your wash clothes with this product. This product is simply a pedestal that keeps your washing or drying machine elevated above ground level. However, the pedestal does have a drawer that can be used for storage. I hope this helps.
