Yes, you can transfer songs from your computer to this MP3 player. Just drag the songs to the player, which appears as an external drive. There are folders for audiobooks, music, podcasts, etc. I have been able to transfer some Apple (iTunes) format songs to the player but the song must convert to MP3 format which takes awhile.

Of course yes. Just make sure the songs are in MP3 formats. I usually use AudKit Spotify Downloader to download and convert Spotify music to MP3 then transfer the MP3 songs to my Sandisk player.
