Well I have a iPhone 6 but either way I have saved like 5,000 photos/videos and it took like under an hour to save. I think it only took up like 23 gigs.

It all depends on the picture, but they should generally be between 3-6MB each. Hence, a 64GB thumb drive will hold approximately 16000 if the average size is 4MB.

Mine is currently holding over 1500 and there's plenty of room. Plus, it's real easy to dump the load off to a PC or MAC for permanent storage.
My favorite part is loading and running movies on the iExpand for us to use when we travel and not forgetting it on someone's device at home.
