Why don't you return it? It's clearly a mistake in labelling.

It's a 256 GB drive. After installation my computer shows 233 GB of usable space.

Did you try reformatting the drive? My drive formats to 256GB and is currently holding 155GB. If not, I'd return it.

One thing that I try is doing a "non-quick" format to determine the capacity. I had some SD drives that I got from a foreign country that were "fake" and actually less than their capacity.

This is a 256gb drive. I would return to store and they will fix the problem
