Usually pricing for SD cards reflects the read/write speed. This is important if you are using it in a phone. If the speed is slow, apps will not work correctly.

Please try again later.In general the difference in lower and higher priced memory cards from the same manufacturer with the same capacity is in the write speed - how fast they can accept data from a device and store it in memory. If you are using the memory card in a video camera you will need a card that is fast enough to accept the video stream without stopping the recording to catch up, if it is just for storing music a slower lower price card is fine.
