I use one of these cards on my Microsoft Surface tablet for extra storage (mostly music and media files). Just realize that any sort of storage ram will eventually break down over time from read/writes, so if you want to preserve it longer I recommend using it with files that don't write very often like music and media files, and have a backup of those files somewhere else just in case.

You can use it on your laptop if your laptop have a slot for SD card and you have the SD card adapter. If your laptop doesn't have the SD card slot, you can still use this memory storage if you have a SD card reader that you can plug in to a USB port in your laptop.

Yes, you can use this for extra storage on your laptop. You would simply need to have a card reader, and use the SD card the same way you would use a flash or thumb drive... by saving extra files onto it.
