I believe so but you'll have to be innovative with zip ties and you may have to get an IR extender seeing as the IR sensor is on the front of any receiver. If not, you will have to aim the remote behind the tv to do anything at all.

The opening on this wall pate is 28.7" x 10.8". Not sure the exact size of your satellite receiver, but if it's smaller than the opening then is should work.
