“We want to utilize an older TV in a new space and need a flat mount that doesn't project out from the wall very far. The mounting holes on the back of the tv are approximately 7 3/4" x 7 3/4". This mount looks like it might work but wanted to confirm.”

I used this to mount an older Samsung TV and I am very happy with the mount and it's closeness to the wall. I highly recommend checking out the manufacturer's website. I used the inbox instructions and the website to get my TV exactly where I want it https://www.sanus.com/en_US/heightfinder/#!step1
