Hi Marty, This mount holds your TV 0.67" off of the wall. It does have a kickstand that will hold the mount 2.70" off the wall so you are able to get behind the mount and have access to your cables. If you want the 2" of clearance you might need to look at tilt mounts like the Sanus BLT2. Fully retracted the BLT2 is 2.74" off the wall and can extend up to 5.74". Thanks, - Haydn @ SANUS
