Yes, that is how we mounted it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would depend on the weight of the tv, I would still use the stud so you have some support on the back side
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't, dry wall doesn't offer the long term support needed for product's use. You may have issues because of weight and motion over time and use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes butterfly or toggle bolts work well and also allow for very minor adjustments.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would strongly recommend you don't try it. The kit is very good when installed as directed, but the mount gets a lot of stress at the wall, simply because you have a heavy TV on the end of a long arm; the leverage is working against you. It's not worth risking your walls, your TV, or your safety, if it suddenly lets go. Contact a drywall contractor for suggestions on an inexpensive alternative; don't just ask the guy at the hardware store. You can probably still perform the final installation yourself. In any case, the kit itself is high quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would suggest to install some kind of blocking. Between the studs.
