No you don't need this kit, if you don't mind having a power cord and AV cable or cables exposed between your television and the sound bar. If your sound bar will be tight against the television, then the simple two outlet kit will work. If there is any space between the television and sound bar, or the television is on a swivel mount, you really should just get the three outlet kit.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on how you would like the TV and sound bar set up on the wall. This kit, item WMC801, has an area for the sound bar cords as well as an area for the TV cords so that both the TV and the sound bar can be easily hooked up without visible cords. Alternatively, you could use item WMC701, but depending on where the sound bar is located below the TV you may have visible cords from the sound bar. You wouldn't need to use both products through.
