We measured the length desired then cut the cover with a jig saw. We then peeled the adhesive cover off the cover and attached it to the wall (make sure that is exactly where you want it to be because there is no moving around once it is attached). We then placed the cables inside and closed it up. Same thing happened with regards to the stickers when I purchased mine!
