“Is the bottom of this base lined with something, as to not scratch or damage a TV console it is going to sit on? I have a solid oak wood console and would rather not have it sitting directly on the wood, as to not scratch it.”

• It does have some padding. I would suggest placing something under it because the base is very heavy might dent the wood

• It has little soft cushions so to answer your question...yes.. I really like it I didn't think I would I was prepared to take it back but I wanted an option other than on the wall and this was perfect. Yes I recommend it ...easy to assemble to.
