Not sure if it will work on the philips, don’t know the tv. I use it with my 65 in Sony. The mount screws come with the Sanus.

Samsung has decided for its 2020 models they are not going to have any swivel bases. My new TV has a center pedestal versus legs on each end. I think when you get to higher than 60", you probably need the legs on each end of the TV. In any event, I like a swivel base. If all of my family is watching something at the same time, then a stationary base would be fine because we would have it set in a neutral position where everyone would have an average view of the screen. But we all rarely watch TV at the same time. So the swivel base helps us adjust it to the chair or sofa position where the one or two individuals are sitting. My TV just came yesterday and the Geek Squad set up the TV on the Sanus swivel base. I had seen a video on how to put this particular base together and it did not seem overly complicated. Before tightening the final two screws for the height adjustment, you may want to make sure the height is at the level you desire. I measured my old TV from the stand on which it was sitting up to where the screen begins. I then made sure the new TV was at the same height. Overall, we are so far pleased with the setup. All the screws and mounting brackets were there and it is supposed to be able to support TVs up to 60" so I think you will be fine with your new 55" screen. I certainly hope this helps you. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I like to answer questions and give reviews whenever I have a chance since that is how I learn from information other customers leave. Sanus also has a toll-free number to answer your questions as well. I haven't called it at this point but they do seem to be helpful based on what their website is showing. Good luck!!! Hope you enjoy your new setup. Best regards, Jim

This stand is compatible with VESA patterns from 100x100mm - 600x400mm. This stand does come with a variety of M6, and M8 screws to mount your TV on the stand. Thanks, - Haydn @ SANUS
