We just bought a soundbar and had to raise our tv a few inches and it couldn't be easier. This stand is great!

Yes, the brace on the back has "hang" like rods at different intervals so you can raise it or lower it. Granted you can't go lower than what you normally can go probably, but you definitely can raise it. I would post a photo if it would help, but I'm at work. If you want a photo reply back to me and I will post one.
