You need 16 inches for it to sit correctly
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Side to side no problem. The base is 27" wide. But depth will have some overhang. The base's flat area is just under 14" deep but it has and additional 2" extension which is the arm that goes up to hold the TV. I let that 2" area extend over the table toward the wall with no problem. That would leave you about 1" more to deal with. It has 4 rubber pads that are in from the edge far enough that they should still be on the table if you let an additional inch hang over the back of the table. Since all feet are still on the table in this configuration it would seem to be as stable as if there was no overhang. Hope this helps.
