Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It was certainly outperform the phone's internal microphones for this task, and would perform much better at 3 to 6 feet. Both will be very audible at 6 to 10 feet, but you will lose a bit of the lower-end frequencies (bass), which will result as a thinner, more distant sound, especially at 10 feet. This is why people gravitate to wireless microphones, even at this range. When using this mic (and any mic) the closer you can get the microphone to the sound source the better. I hope that helps.
