So I saw where a customer who wrote that if you want to use the Keypad, then the APP is non-responsive and visa-versa. Does the product have a basic defec in that if I change the access code can I use it both with the keypad and the app ???? null

You will not have any issues at all. You can use both.

I have had no problem using the app AND keypad for this lock. My daughter comes in from school and uses the keypad, I get an alert on my phone that she has entered and then I lock It with the app.

My lock works with both plus Amazon key app also.
