This storage drive is meant for the newer series x and s consoles. The older Xbox one’s are discontinued

You still would have to buy a new one. The older consoles do not even have a slot for this product. I had an Xbox One X before making the upgrade to my Xbox Series X. I highly recommend the upgrade. The speed and power of the console is amazing. Adding this allows you to store and play more Series X/S games since they are only able to be played from the internal hard drive unless you add this product to it. X/S games can be stored on an external hard drive but they cannot be played from an external drive

You will still have to buy the new one. Everything inside the new Xbox is what makes it powerful. The old console will not be able to handle the program the new console has.
