I haven't had this problem at all, it has worked flawlessly for me. They do have limited warranties, so feel free to contact Seagate they should be happy to swap it out for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check the cables that connect the drive to the motherboard. It sounds like a classic case of a loose connection. And while you have the cover off your PC, double check all connections and if possible, clean out the dust on your fans and case interior. Hope this helps. If not, I would recommend returning the drive and getting a refund OR better yet, get another drive.
