“Connection problems! This 3TB hard drive seems to have connection issues. Just walking by the unit causes it to disconnect and become unreliable. Short of super glue, is there a better fix? What is the warranty on this unit? Thanks”

• check you're usb port as well but yes I have used warrenty with in the time frame allow without issues

• Are you using the cables that came with it or just the old cables that were used for your old hard drive? I haven't had this problem at all, it has worked flawlessly for me. They do have limited warranties, so feel free to contact Seagate they should be happy to swap it out for you.

• Check the cables that connect the drive to the motherboard. It sounds like a classic case of a loose connection. And while you have the cover off your PC, double check all connections and if possible, clean out the dust on your fans and case interior. Hope this helps. If not, I would recommend returning the drive and getting a refund OR better yet, get another drive.

• Perhaps try a new SATA cable? Otherwise you should replace the drive.

• i did my install myself and have had no problems with the unit. used the software to gain access to the full 3T. possibly an anomaly there is a manuf warranty, check with the retailer where you bought it..
