I have been a long time user of seagate drives both internally and externally and this 3 TB drive has been put to the test and has performed great. I highly recommend the Seagate internal drives they are work the money.

I purchased this Seagate internal drive and it has been working like a charm managing gigs and gigs of digital media.

Works great right out of the box. Very constant read and write time.

I used it for a replacement drive that is going bad. This was the most economical one for the size I needed. Additionally, I wanted to be sure it ran at least 7300rpm vs 5300rpm. Fast enough to write efficiently with plenty of storage.

Hi i got this drive for extra storage for a back up of my machine it's worth getting not only for space but with it's Eco-friendly power saving it goes into standby mode to save on electricity and with that it's not always running creating heat making a extra fan not necessary and alot less power consumption saving me $$ on the light bill. not to mention less stress on my psu. and the system in general and a technician in computers and electronics i definitely would use this product in my clients computers

Bought this to replace an aging HDD on a desktop rig. I probably should have bought an SSD instead but the speed on spinning drives are still passable. This one was not DOA, though I will remind people that if they are planning to use the entire 3TB, they should change the Disk Type to GPT. Anyway, this thing works just fine and does what I need it to.

I run a backup server that eats big sata drives. I use these drives at the rate of one every month or two. After the drive is full, it goes to the safe deposit box at the bank for archival record. With that big a drive, speed is important to complete nightly backup runs quickly, before the day begins, and I backup about 20 GB per night. This is my first choice drive for this application. They run cool, are reliable, fast and inexpensive for the size and speed. I trust my business history to these drives.

This drive provides a lot of storage space for the price. It was easy to install and access. good performance. If you need a big drive that is fast this is the drive for you

I always buy seagates.I bought one years ago,and it lasted me almost 10 years.So that alone keeps me coming back to these.It's great for storage,it's fast,and reliable.

Seagate hard drives are always very reliable. I use these in my NAS devices. They are fast, relatively inexpensive and seem to have a long life span.

I purchased this to replace a drive that was beginning to fail. Installation was simple the drive is nice and fast! Great buy for the price!

There are faster drives, there are cheaper drives, but this is a nice combination of size, price and performance.

Seagate consistently produces very reliable hard drives. They are well priced and have proved to be hard drives you can count on - whether you are upgrading from a smaller drive or replacing a defective drive. They are very well priced - and very competitive with other brands. This drive provides the right speed and cache to make it a very fast drive. Highly recommend.

I bought this drive a couple weeks ago to replace a five year old 2TB Seagate drive that was accidentally damaged during a case transfer a few years back. The 2TB drive had pins missing and a piece of plastic (the sata interface guide key on the drive) broken off and even with these issues the drive not only worked but performed well for about three years while damaged. I purchased this 3TB model to transfer the files from the 2TB drive and replace it in my PC. This drive performs quite well, good read and write speeds, fast access times and it performs on par with other Seagate products I've purchased, used or worked with in the past. With very few exceptions Seagate drives have exceeded my expectations in both performance and longevity, I have only ever had to RMA a Seagate product one time in my more than two decades of computer ownership, use and repair and they were very friendly and helpful there was zero hassle with getting a replacement for the drive my friend had purchased that had a failure. If you need a solid drive with a good amount of space, exceptional customer service support and a fair price it's hard to go wrong purchasing a Seagate product. I would also like to note that my local Best Buy's staff was very helpful and friendly.

I have several of these seatgate barracuda drives, both 2tb and 3tb with quantities of around 30 mixed. I love them, and they read and write very fast and don't get fussy when I put them in any type of raid configurations unlike western digital drives that fail all the time. If I didn't know better I would say that seatgate made this drives almost enterprise grade. I've only had around 1 or 2 of these drives fail, while I've had several WD drives fail me. These drives do make some heat if not properly vented, of course they are spinning at 7200rpm. I have seen the in a very heavy work load for 24 hours hit 87 degrees, I would prefer staying below 80 but they don't seem to mind the heat. I will buy more when I seem them on sale again for 99 each. I wish best buy would sell these barebone because I don't need the extra cables.

All Seagate Drives are the best in the Market today!! They are fast, Reliable and priced Right!! The Seagate Warranty is unparalleled in the Market!! Buy Drives from Legitimate sources like Best Buy, I got burned by buying from a less than reputable dealer and their Drives DID NOT have the Seagate 5 Year Warranty!! Any drive WILL GO BAD, the question is WHEN!! Seagate warranty will get you a replacement Drive in 2-3 days!!

Plenty of space, great speed, not a sound can be heard from it.

Seagate still makes a premium product which is why I bought the HDD. Great price and availability. I am still amazed at the price of storage today. I may be dating myself a bit but I remember purchasing drives by phone call, (no internet at the time) that stored only a fraction of the space for 5 times the price. I love being able to drive a few minutes to pick up a new HDD.
