had this for 2 months now since day this has been the hard drive that y security cameras record to. Throughout the nights its recording multiple feeds and throughout the day what ever motion detection picks up. So this drive is getting a lot of writing to do haven't noticed any issues with the drive I do run a check on it every 2 weeks to be safe. So I would recommend this for purchase.

This is the second one of these hard drives I've bought. These drives are easy to install, work great, and don't come with a lot of extra space wasting software that some WD drives come with. Very reliable and affordable drive!

Absolutely compatible with my dell desktop which i had installed buy the best buy geek squad for 40 dollars Which is v quite reasonable . i am using it as a second internal hard drive and it is working perfectly so far and it been about a month and half Great for increasing the storage and elongating the life of my computer

Easy installation, and Seagate provides the driver/software to use the full 3tb(usually the OS will take max 2tb out of the box). Used as a second hard drive on a windows 10 OS. Also a great price.

I purchased this hard drive to replace another hard drive that died thankfully i had a back up. the previous was a different brand with the initials wd lol. it only lasted 2 years my experience to seagates are a lot better thats why i went with this band also best buy had a sale so win win.

Quiet, fast and no installation issues. Seems dependable.

I have 3 of these, bought over a period of months. Each has performed very well, running cool, quiet and fast for a rotational drive. I was a long time Western Digital user, but do not like their new head-parking mechanism, which I find to be noisy. I have these Seagate drives both internally in a Mac and in external enclosures (eSATA connection) and they perform equally well in both locations. Two drives are used for backup, one gets constant read/write use. DriveDX drive health utility shows absolutely no problems with any of them.

The Seagate 3 TB drive was perfect for my needs as an hard disk drive to store mkv files I use a external hard drive adapter to allow me to exchange several drives as I need to. Actually cheaper than using blank DVDs and much faster. I also got the external drive adapter from BestBuy.

I've been using the barracuda in a USB 3.0 external enclosure as storage for my Xbox one. This hard drive is very fast. Has decreased the load time of games noticeably over the internal memory. Very happy with this product

I keep hearing how Seagate quality has dropped or that these 7200 RPM drives from them are questionable. Well so far I have bought five of them for my Unraid servers and each one has just been fast and solid. So I am going to keep buying them and I recommend you do the same.

This is a nice little upgrade from my aging 1.5 TB drive! And since I am running it on a 6 GB/s connection, file access seems as quick as my old WD Black drives. Not terribly noisy either, definitely happy I upgraded! For the cons, my biggest gripe is the warranty. I have had various drives go bad from different manufacturers, so that's no surprise that it could happen. But if you only warranty the drive for 2 years, that doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the product. And I am not willing to shell out for the more expensive drives that are rated for 24/7 operation (with longer warranties). My only other issue was getting Windows to see all 3 TB. I ended up using a 3rd party product to do it since the disc wizard wasn't working properly.
