I picked this drive up at my local best buy for around $90 and I am completely satisfied with the purchase. I utilize it in a gaming rig for game installations and additional storage.

The box has the hardware necessary for a standard desktop install, except that there were no cables. Luckily, I had a spare data cable from another machine or I would have had to make another trip to get one. Other than that, installation was easy. It was quickly recognized by my 2014 clone running an upgrade to Win 10 and partitioning was easy from within Windows. Just make sure to buy a data cable when you buy this drive in case you don't have one at the ready when you install.

I use this in an outboard Thermaltake harddrive e-sata unit that allows me to use harddrives like back up disks. Works great. The Seagate - 3TB is a very good value for this purpose.

In building a replacement for my MediaSmart server, which has been obsolete for some years now, I needed a new drive on the new server so that I could start transferring data from the old. I selected this drive because it was fast and had more storage space than any of the 2TB drives on the old server, which I off-loaded one at a time. Off-loaded drives were then added to the new server. It all went well.

My drive in my home NAS servers failed after 3 years. Fortunately, local Best Buy had the Seagate drive I wanted, so it was a simple task to pick up. Replacement within home NAS was an easy drop in. No issues.

I've used these same drives in a system that runs almost 24/7 and never had a failure. Not that it couldn't happen, and it has, but so far never with this Seagate model.

I use these at work to record live video at a very high compression rate and they work great have purchased about 30 of them everyone has worked perfectly out of the box!

I've had great success with Seagate hard drives over the years. I bought three of these drives to expand the storage in my Drobo. So far, everything is working perfectly.

This Drive was an easy install, and to configure. The Packaging could be a little bit more friendly. Hard to keep thing from falling apart. the instructions were easy to follow

My Home Theater System was running out of space. This drive will give me plenty of space for my files. Drive installed fine, was recognized by my computer right away. Working fine with no issues. Of coarse your mother boards bios has to be able to handle drives of this size or bigger to recognize the drive.

again for a pc build, this hard drive is way bigger than i would probably ever need since i still love having an external just in case, but hey it was cheap

I had a previous 2TB drive that started to fail and picked up this one to transfer all the data. Very happy about the price to capacity ratio. Would buy again.

Truly not much to say about this. It functions! I purchased this to replace a failed 2TB drive (also a Seagate) I am one of those HardCore PC users where I actually wear out Hard drives. And believe it or not I am not much of a gamer. And yes! I had the failed drive backed up so I just popped this bad boy in and restored my backup and I was off and running in about 20 minutes. Backups reduce a complete catastrophe into just an annoyance.

I purchased this as an external hard drive for xb1. Working great and recommend seagate hard drives always. Never had an issue with any I have purchased before.

The hard drive was used to upgrade my sons gaming computer that he built him self this past year. The three terabyte drive was just what he needed and made a great surprise Christmas present

I bought this hard drive for a backup internal drive. The drive is reliable and fast. I have them in 3 other computers and have had no problems with them.

Easy installation, all necessary parts included (screws, SATA cable, etc.). I'm using this as a backup for all of my digital photos. No complaints or issues.

I'm using this drive as a backup drive for my entire system. It works great and has plenty of storage. I have never had a problem with Seagate drives.

I needed this to replace an old hard drive the died. This booted up and windows installed with no problems. Very nice and fast drive. Not disappointed.

I would have given this a higher rating if I could have connected it as an internal drive. However, my Windows 7 system would not format it properly. I was fighting a corrupted hard disk at the same time, so that may have contributed to the problem that I had. I purchased an enclosure to use it as an external hard drive, and this worked like a champ. It is more of a backup disk anyway, so it is perfect this way.
