I have had no problems with the transfer of any type of materials, I am using Windows 10 and office 365 on an HP desktop. This includes installing some applications on the drive. It's just another drive and that's how it shows up using explorer or clicking on the folder shortcut at the bottom of your desktop computer if using office 365. It's ready out of the box, but as we know, there's always something new, so after you complete setup, do your updates before you start using for own stuff.
